Whoa another great night of darts with some impressive play from the oche at the New Cowboy Bar. Kenny (KTD aka Kenny-The-Dart) alerted CW and meself that he’d be down to learn us locals how darts in preformed at the high level from his native Yorkshire & with his ‘lead by example’ mythology. Contacted Bennett and was happy to hear that he’d also be joining us. Also contacted Adam but he said that regretfully he and his lovely better half – Miss A – would be unable to get down that night. Now for those of you who know me – you know that I’m rarely serious about anything – HOWEVER – at this point I must state most prolifically there is absolutely no truth to the nasty rumor that some of the gals from New Cowboy Bar have been spreading – that Adam is apprehensive about meeting Kenny at any darts oche because of their recent darts results. Again this rumor is totally fictitious and hopefully my remarks will end any further mention of it.

I’m sure all players that night would agree that the highlight of the night was meeting Ryan who joint us at the oche. Ryan is one of the up and coming stars in the SIDL (Saigon International Darts League). For those unfamiliar with the SIDL – it’s what you imagine as “THE” ideal darts league. Check ’em out – both their website and FB page (links found on the second to last pic in the accompanying photo gallery). We can assure any SIDL members reading this that Ryan did – in fact – represent your league’s high standard of play. We look forward to meeting Ryan again at the oche as well as any and all SIDL members that have the opportunity to visit Bangkok.

Our format on the night was three doubles teams – one on one with the out doubles team afforded a smoke break. Teams were – Ryan & Tia – Johnny & Kenny – CW & Bennett. Won’t list much detail of the nights darts performance progress as me memory of it is a bit foggy. The night resulted in a three-way tie with a three team – one game – 501 double in / double out playoff game.
Was happy that Kenny rang me today as I had no idea of who won the final tie breaking game. Kenny claims the he and I did with him throwing both the double in as well as the winning double out dart. Anyone wanting to contest Kenny’s claim may do so in a reply to this post. Many thanks to Miss Tia and her fine staff at the New Cowboy Bar for their continuing excellent support of darts. Hope to see you at the NCB darts oche next time. – – Johnny
