Thursday night I thought “Ok, quiet beer, Crossword Puzzle and Sudoka”, perfect evening! So I amble down to New Cowboy, and and soon as I walked in I knew it would not be a quiet night!! In were Adam and A, Kenny( The Dart), CW and of course Johnny.
Pretty soon there was a match going on, Kenny and Johnny verses Adam and CW, with the lovely A stepping in to score when the equally lovely Ms. Tia had to disappear to cook..
As usual, I took little notice of the Darts, having settled into the crossword. The Darts were going at a fine pace and the beer was flowing!!
All of a sudden loud cheering erupted, Johnny had hit a 140 (which is an ok score I am told), after much back slapping and knuckle touching the game settled down again, and I settled once more into the task at hand, the Crossword.
Then, not much later, blow me down if Adam didnt hit a 180, this prompted even more back slapping, high 5’s and of course knuckle touching (never understood what thats all about!!). I was dragged away ( I was onto the Sudoka by then) to perform my other duty as stand-in Photographer, had to catch the darts all nestled in the 60 slot, and of course Adam grinning from ear to ear! Ms Tia kindly presented Adam with a beer on the house, which was much appreciated. To cap off that game, Adam also doubled out. Good Job, Adam.
The evening continued and, judging by the way some staggered out, a good night was had by all.
For those of you that might be interested I got to finish the crossword and the sudoka.
Dont forget to visit New Cowboy, you never know when a game of darts might break out. – Colin
